Dawa Enclave Power Substation

Scope of work: Earthworks and platform preparation; reinforced concrete foundations and plinths for transformers and switchgear; transformer bund and oil-containment walls; cable trench networks and ducting interfaces; internal access roads and hardstand areas; drainage and safety-related external works. All civil elements executed to high-voltage installation and safety standards. Aggregates and chippings supplied by ATQC from their Dawa quarry.

Building on our successful delivery of the Tema Free Zones substation, Enclave Power Company engaged JMC and ATQC to execute the civil works for a second, larger substation — this time within the rapidly developing Dawa Industrial Zone. At 165MVA, the facility was designed to meet the higher energy demands of Dawa’s expanding industrial community and future-proof the zone’s power supply capacity.

Our scope covered all civil elements required for high-voltage installation: reinforced foundations and plinths for transformers and switchgear, transformer bunding and oil-containment structures, cable trench networks, internal access roads and hardstands, and associated drainage — all delivered under strict safety and construction quality controls.

The substation is a cornerstone of Dawa Industrial Zone’s infrastructure, providing the reliable, high-capacity power supply that underpins industrial investment and operations across the enclave.
